Mercedes-Benz recalled 2011 model E-Class, M-Class, R-Class, and GL-Class
German car maker has officially issued a recall involving a number of their vehicles – 2011 model E-Class, M-Class, R-Class, and GL-Class – for what the company describes as a defective fuel filter.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, an important item in the vehicle fuel filters, namely the O-ring – may have been not properly lubricated. The effect of this defect can cause the fuel spilling out into the street, potentially causing hazardous driving conditions not only for car drivers affected, but to other nearby vehicles.

Mercedes has estimated that approximately 2,300 vehicles they have this defect and thus subject to the recall, which is expected to begin later this month. All affected vehicles are expected to go to a Mercedes dealer and they have the problem fixed at no cost to the owner of the car.
