Mercedes 300SL Gullwing the coolest car ever made
This was the first Merc to bear the SL logo and also the first car to get gullwing doors. Built between 1955-1963, the SL’s poor brakes and unstable chassis earned it the unfortunate “widowmaker” nickname, but we don’t care as it is still the sexiest coupe ever. It’s a combination of those credentials that give this car the number one spot in our Top 50 Coolest Cars Ever.
