2012 Saab MY 9-3 range UK pricing and specs

Saab GB has recently released the pricing for 2012 Saab MY 9-3 range and other specifications before the launch of the car model in UK next month. A new grille, “ice block” headlamps as well as the restyled front bumpers represent some subtle exterior updates added to the new model year. They are completed by the addition of a boot-mounted spoiler for the sedan variants and a Saab word mark used to replace the chrome trim from the rear end.

The updated 2012 Saab 9-3 has a UK pricing that starts at ?21,495 for the 163HP 2.0-liter Turbo petrol SE model integrating a six-speed manual transmission.

The interior is mainly described by high-quality materials and refined style with the titanium metallic-effect trim around the instrument panel, gearshift moulding, doors and glovebox, while the SE models come equipped with leather seats and the Aero ones incorporate automatic dimming mirrors inside and outside the vehicle, automatic rain sensor wipers and electric folding mirrors as standard. Furthermore, a host of safety systems which integrate ESP, six airbags and Active Head Restraints, then Bluetooth phone integration system, park assist, heated front seats and alloy rims represent other standard features available across the range. As far as the powertrain is regarded, the British customers will be able to purchase the vehicle with a new 2.0-liter petrol turbo engine featuring direct injection, twin-scroll turbocharging, variable valve timing and it will be available in two states of tune, delivering 163HP or 220HP. A 1.9-liter TTiD with 130HP or 160HP will be offered with the diesel front.
