the 2012 Nissan GT-R facelift will get a restyled front bumper that improves the GT-R’s aerodynamic performance from 0.272 to 0.268. A redesigned rear diffuser also improves the rear downforce with almost 10%. Also new for 2012, the Nissan GT-R gets two new exterior colors: Aurora Flare Blue Pearl (color code RAY) and Nebula Opal Black (color code GAG). Also, it is rumored that the GT-R will deliver a total of 500 HP.

The new Nissan GT-R facelift will go on sale in 2011 and will be offered in all major markets: Europe, USA and Japan.

2012 Nissan GT-R Facelift and Spec Details

The 2012 Nissan GT-R is long overdue as the current R35 is almost three years old, it comes as no surprise that plans for the new model has been leaked all over the Internet. We thought we would take a look at what the facelift has to offer and the spec details.

GTRBlog were the first to release an image of the revised GT-R, and Inside Line has been studying what new features to expect. We have to point out that this is just speculation at this time.

The first thing that you will notice from the image is the new LED lights on the front-end, along with new wheels and an improved diffuser, which as we know helps to improve on downforce.

Nissan has said that the 2012 Nissan GT-R will come with a 3.8-liter V6 turbocharged engine, and will hopefully offer more than 500hp. To help improve handling Nissan is said to be working on suspension upgrades as well as an improved launch control system.

One thing is certain, with all these improvements will come a higher price tag, but how much are you willing to pay? Let us nor forget that Nissan is already working on the 2013 Nissan GT-R hybrid, which we discussed at the end of last year.
