Nissan Juke-R Crossover : Video
A team over at Nissan Europe came up with the bright idea of fitting the Juke small crossover with the engine and drivetrain of the latest GT-R. The street legal prototype is currently being developed by Nissan and built by motorsports outfit RML with input from Nissan Technology Centre for Europe (NTC-E).
Lying under the hood is the GT-R’s 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine, which in standard form generates 530-horses at 6,400 rpm and 612Nm (451.4 lb-ft) of peak torque between 3,200 and 6,000rpm.
Nissan’s engineers mounted the Godzilla’s six-speed transaxle under the boot while the front and rear ends are joined by a modified GT-R 4WD driveline and prop shaft.
The Japanese company plans to modify the exterior with a wide body carbon-fiber aero kit that includes several GT-R-style touches such as the hood vents and rear wing, while the Juke-R will ride on 20-inch RAYS forged alloy rims wrapped around high-performance ties.
On board, the standard Juke’s dashboard has been modified to accommodate the gauges, dials and 7-inch customizable LCD display from the GT-R. The driver and the passenger get race-seats with five-point harnesses while the rear seats have been stripped out in order to place a FIA specification racing roll cage.

According to data released by Nissan today, in August, the first full month of availability of the new Versa sedan, the subcompact model sold of 8,566 units beating all of its theoretical competitors, including the Chevrolet Aveo, Ford Fiesta, Honda Fit, Hyundai Accent, Mazda 2 and the soon to be replaced, Toyota Yaris.

The new Micra DIG S is powered by a 1.5 liter four-cylinder Direct Injection Gasoline-Supercharger engine that delivers a total of 98 HP and 142Nm of torque, while emitting only 95g/km for the manual version and 115 g/km for the CVT version. The car can hit a top speed of 112mph when coupled with a manual gearbox. The DIG-S uses the Miller cycle and direct petrol injection to raise the compression ratio to 13 to one for greater combustion efficiency and a supercharger for instant throttle response and added power.
It is available in one body five-door body style, three trim levels – Visia, Acenta and Tekna – and with a choice of two petrol engines. As well as the DIG-S, there’s a normally aspirated version of the 1.2-litre engine, developing 59kW (80PS).

“Name My Ride” contest, an online competition that gives Jeep fans a chance to come up with the official name of the Grand Cherokee concept. The contest is currently being held at Jeep’s official website with the top three choices being elevated to another round of voting before the official winner is announced in May 2012.
