V12-powered SL 65 AMG roadster: Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG “45th ANNIVERSARY”
The 2012 New York Auto Show bring us the new special edition from Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-Benz introduced a special anniversary edition of the V12-powered SL 65 AMG roadster, of which only 45 will be produced worldwide with first deliveries in the U.S. planned for November. Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG “45th ANNIVERSARY” Power is provided by the same 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine with 621hp (630PS) and a peak torque of 1,000Nm (737 lb-ft) that you’ll find under the hood of the regular SL 65 AMG.
The exterior package continues with a carbon fiber kit that includes the cross strut in the front apron, the exterior mirrors and the spoiler lip, while the engine cover is also made from the same material. The look is rounded out by the black chrome plating of the quad tailpipes and the special forged wheels painted in titanium grey with high-sheen rim flange and matt finish that are shod in tires size 255/35 R 19 at the front and 285/30 R 20 at the rear.

The 2012 SLK55 AMG is already the third generation of the exclusively dynamic Roadster model made by AMG. It all started in 2001 with the SLK32 AMG. Valkswagen Beetle in tuning program by JE Design, this just Je Design has prepared an upgrade package for the existing 2.0 TFSI version. The package includes a pretty cool exterior upgrade, as well as the addition of 40 HP under the hood. Je Design has tweaked the ECU to increase the output from 200 HP to 240 HP and the peak torque from 206 lbs-ft to 228 lbs-ft. As a result, the Beetle will now sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds (down from 7.5) and will hit a top speed of 138 mph.
The new Beetle already looks the part with its new, more masculine design, so the exterior didn’t need much. Je Design only added an attractive rear apron insert with a diffuser, a centered air duct, and a new steel muffler with a round 90 millimeter large twin tailpipe. The car now sits on a new set of 19″ alloy multi spoke wheels painted in an exclusive black “Tornado” finish. The new wheels can be combined with new suspension springs with a progressive characteristic and a sporty spring constant.
