The New 2012 Honda Mugen CR-Z on sale in February 2012 UK starting at £23,000

The New 2012 Honda Mugen CR-Z will put on sale in February 2012, with prices in the UK starting at £23,000 or about $36,000 at the current exchange rates. The production version Mugen CR-Z will use a supercharger and a remapped ECU to increase power for the 1.5L four cylinder engine to 197 HP and 158 lb-ft of torque, up from the standard 122 HP and 128 lb-ft of torque. Next to the extra power, customers will also have the opportunity to choose between a wide range of Mugen accessories, including stiffer springs and dampers, larger wheels, bigger brakes, and replacement carbon bonnet and doors.

2011 Honda Small Sports EV Concept released on November 30, 2011?

Honda has announced they will be bringing a Small Sports EV Concept to the Tokyo Auto Show. Could this be the beginning of the next small roadster?
So far, signs point to yes. The Concept is being described as ” a next-generation compact EV sports model, fun to drive while achieving excellent environmental performance.” It is an all-electric vehicle that combines the pleasure of driving with zero CO2 emissions. Sounds like the car of the future to us and the fact that Honda will need a car to place under the current CR-Z makes the case even more convincing.

Honda hasn’t offered any other details so far, but at least, from the looks of the concept, they are working on a compact vehicle with a cool design language.

More details are scheduled to be released on November 30, 2011?

2012 Honda Pilot with new grille and front fascia

The 2012 Honda Pilot model became available for sale on August 31, 2011. The Honda Pilot power comes from an advanced 24-valve, all-aluminum engine with “intelligent” Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (i-VTEC) technology with Variable Cylinder Management (VCM). The VCM system allows the V-6 engine to operate in six-cylinder mode for power and four- or three-cylinder modes for efficiency. Fuel economy improves for 2012 with an EPA-estimated city/highway/combined fuel economy of 17/24/20 mpg on 4-wheel-drive models and 18/25/21 mpg on 2-wheel-drive models. Representing a 1-mpg increase in City, a 2-mpg increase in Highway and a 2-mpg increase in Combined, this gives the 2012 Pilot 2WD the highest fuel economy of any 8-passenger SUV and the Honda Pilot 4WD the highest fuel economy for any mid-size 4WD SUV.
As with the prior model year, the 2012 Pilot is available in four model choices (Pilot LX, EX, EX-L and Touring), and each is offered in either 2-wheel-drive or 4-wheel-drive configuration. The 2012 Honda Pilot’s new grille and front fascia replace the prior model’s six-sided grille insert with a distinctive three-bar horizontal design. 2012 Honda Civic with 2.2-liter Diesel in Europe

The all-new European market Civic hatchback that will be built exclusively at its Swindon UK factory, today revealed that one of the available engines in its lineup will be an ultra-frugal and clean 2.2-liter turbo diesel. The revised 2.2-liter i-DTEC engine produces 150-horses, 10 more ponies than the outgoing model’s 2.2L CDTi unit. At the same time, CO2 emissions are down 29g/km to 110 g/km, 29 g/km.
This has been achieved by cutting friction in the engine’s moving parts, making aerodynamic refinements to the bodywork and fitting an auto stop-start system as standard in the manual gearbox-equipped models, which itself lowers CO2 emissions by 5 g/km.

2012 CR-V Concept Honda US in 2011 & UK in 2012

The 2012 Honda CR-V update the old version with all-new interior with a more accommodating and spacious design with a lower cargo floor, a more fuel-efficient engine and reduced body weight.
