2013 Dodge SRT Viper & GTS Debut For New York Auto Show
The new iteration of the 2013 Dodge SRT Viper is powered by an all-aluminum 8.4-liter V10 that puts out 640HP and 600 lb-ft (812.6 Nm) of torque – with the latter being the highest figure for any normally aspirated engine in the world.
The iconic supercar will be available in two flavors: Dodge SRT Viper and Dodge SRT Viper GTS. Both are identical as far as the design is concerned, retaining the extra-long hood, the huge air-vents (or “gills”) behind the front wheels and the side-exiting exhausts of the original.
The Viper GTS gets split six-spoke forged-aluminum “Venom” rims with three available finishes: polished face with graphite-painted pockets (standard), fully painted Hyper Black and fully painted low-gloss black. In addition, the GTS gets more technologically advanced solutions, like the two-mode active suspension featuring Bilstein DampTronic Select shock absorbers with both street and track settings.
The Viper now sports a standard 8.4-inch console-mounted touch screen, touch screen buttons and a choice of infotainment systems with applications. Of more importance to driving-oriented customers, however, is the newly added launch control.

One of their offerings is the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR, a track focused, yet street-legal machine that drew its inspiration from both the Challenger SRT8 392 and the Viper SRT10 ACR. Coming with plenty of aesthetic and performance upgrades, the SRT8 ACR was no doubt one of the cars to steal the show in SEMA.
Inside, Mopar continued the modifications on the Dodge muscle car by taking out the rear seat bench and replacing it with a roll bar and a fire extinguisher. To make the car lighter, Mopar added carbon fiber door panels to go with a new pair of bucket sport seats with openings for a racing harness, an SRT three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, an SRT gauge cluster, a custom bright pedal kit, Mopar Drag Pack center stack, and a carbon fiber center console finish.

With this addition, Honda’s overall investment in its North American operations will reach US$21 billion and increase its production capacity in the region from 1.63 million units to 1.87 million in spring 2014.
