Saab GB has recently released the pricing for 2012 Saab MY 9-3 range and other specifications before the launch of the car model in UK next month. A new grille, “ice block” headlamps as well as the restyled front bumpers represent some subtle exterior updates added to the new model year. They are completed by the addition of a boot-mounted spoiler for the sedan variants and a Saab word mark used to replace the chrome trim from the rear end.
The updated 2012 Saab 9-3 has a UK pricing that starts at ?21,495 for the 163HP 2.0-liter Turbo petrol SE model integrating a six-speed manual transmission.
The interior is mainly described by high-quality materials and refined style with the titanium metallic-effect trim around the instrument panel, gearshift moulding, doors and glovebox, while the SE models come equipped with leather seats and the Aero ones incorporate automatic dimming mirrors inside and outside the vehicle, automatic rain sensor wipers and electric folding mirrors as standard. Saab 9-3 Independence Edition.The Saab 9-3 Independence Edition (based on the Aero Convertible) marks the day, February 23, one year ago when Saab left the General Motors corporate org chart to once again become an independent automaker (inasmuch as it can be called that, since it’s still owned by Spyker). Expected to debut at next month’s Geneva Motor Show, the Saab 9-3 Independence Edition has leaked onto the web a little early.
Unique Independence Edition touches include a new color called Sunset Red and special 18″ wheels. Meanwhile, the interior gets parchment leather seats with an orange stripe down the middle, an orange needle on the turbo guage, a Super Sport steering wheel and an assortment of other interior bits from Saab specialist Hirsch. The best part, though, is that the 9-3 Independence Edition also gets the 220-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo four from the Saab 9-5.
Enamored? Try not to be, because with only 366 individually-numbered examples to be sold worldwide, the likelihood of getting your hands on one is pretty slim indeed.

The new 2013 BMW M-Sport Package 6-Series Gran Coupe package will be offered right when the new 6-Series goes on sale in the summer of 2012. The M-Sport package adds a uniquely designed front fascia, side skirts, and a new rear fascia to the elongated body of the Gran Coupe. The package also includes black chrome exhaust tips, black-painted brake calipers, LED foglamps, a sports exhaust system for the BMW 650i Gran Coupe, and 19-inch light-alloy wheels in an M double-spoke design. The customers may also opt to get 20-inch light-alloy wheels in the M double-spoke design, as well as a choice between Carbon Black Metallic and Imola Red Non-Metallic paint finishes.

It is based on the 991 (997) GT3 RS, with the 3.8-liter flat-six engine producing an identical 450HP at 8,500 rpm.The new GT3 Cup has a larger 100-liter FT3 safety fuel tank, which is filled via an opening in the hood. According to Porsche, this change makes the car more suitable for a wider range of endurance racing.
The Porsche racer rides on 18-inch wheels shod in 25/64-18 front and 30/68-18 Michelin racing tires.

At the 82nd Geneva Motor Show, Maserati unveiled the latest version of the Maserati GranTurismo and the Maserati GranCabrio with the Sport moniker. The Sport models replace the S variants and the changes are more than skin deep.
For starters, the 4.7-liter V8 engine now produces 453HP and 520Nm (383.5 lb-ft) of torque, up from the 440HP and 490Nm (361.4 lb-ft) of the GranTurismo S.
Power is still channeled to the rear wheels and buyers can choose between a “robotised manual”, i.e. semi-automatic, or a conventional manual gearbox. The 6-speed semi-automatic, which won’t be offered in the North American market, changes gears in just 100ms. This version of the coupe accelerates from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).
The ZF six-speed automatic features the MC Auto Shift management software that is also used in the GranCabrio and Quattroporte Sport GT S and is barely slower, posting a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time of 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 298 km/h (185 mph).
