the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany was holding a special exhibition on a new collection of decorative hoods for the Porsche 911 GT2. The exhibit is called Colección Goméz after Argentinian curator Jorge Goméz, a man whose love for art is only matched by his love for Porsches.
Porsche decided to enlist the services of 19 Latin American artists to create 24 dynamic hoods for the 911 GT2, each coming with their own unique designs. Every form of artwork – be it the simple variety or the meticulously designed – offered a different perspective on the artistic style of each of the artists that were involved in the project. just see the photo for more detail, the Colección Goméz will run until January 8, 2012 and is available for public consumption from Tuesdays through Sundays between 9 am to 6 pm. They then activate their smart key and finalise their personal details online before moving on to the next step. The club members can specify everything from body shape to interior configuration as well as wheel design, exterior paint and material options. Once these details have been saved, club members locate their nearest charging station where their car is quite literally assembled before their eyes. When finished, the cars are returned to the charging station and disassembled ready for the next customer.

Long-Wheelbase Porsche Panamera Reportedly Confirmed for Launch in Early 2012. The unnamed sources stated that the Porsche Panamera LWB will gain a 150mm (5.9-inches) wheelbase extension for a total length of 3,070mm (120.8-inches). The additional space is said to benefit the rear passengers.
Aside from the very un-Porsche limo, it is also reported that the Porsche Panamera will receive its first facelift in 2013, and that the German sports carmaker is contemplating the development of a smaller sedan model, allegedly called Pajun (we guess the name is inspired by the Cajun small SUV), to slot right under the company’s full size sedan model.

The new 550 will be the first model to be built on Porsche’s new sports car architecture and will be offered with a mid-mounted, turbocharged 1.6-liter engine that will deliver around 200 HP. This engine will be mated to a dual-clutch seven speed transmission. The future 550 will be launched in 2014 and, on the European market, will be priced about €8,000 ($11,500 at the current exchange rates) less than the current Boxster. That difference accounts for about 20% of the current Boxster’s price tag, which means our fellow Americans will have to pay about $38,000 to purchase it.

Automotive News reports that Lexus’ long-rumored seven-passenger crossover, dubbed ‘VX’, has been delayed, even after several years of study. As far as the automaker’s CUVs and SUVs go, the RX will get a redesign in early 2014, using some of the new bits found in the updated Toyota Camry platform. The larger GX, which was redesigned in 2010, will not see any major changes, and the grandaddy LX will likely carry on unchanged for the foreseeable future – possibly beyond 2015.
Lexus’ sedan lineup will also see some big changes over the next few years, starting with the launch of the all-new 2012 GS early next year. Following that, the ES will be redesigned and tuned and a hybrid version will finally be offered. The smaller IS will get an overhaul in late 2012, based on a chopped version of the new GS platform.

Powering the Elise Club Racer is the same 1.6-liter four cylinder VVT-I engine with an output of 136 PS (100 kW / 134 hp) as on the series’ variant. Lotus did not provide new performance numbers for the Club Racer but the standard Elise does the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in 6.5 seconds, which the Club Racer can only beat, if but slightly.
Prices for the Lotus Elise Club Racer will start at £27,500 / €34,450 / CHF48,900 (Switzerland).
The Lotus Elise Club Racer will be available in a choice of six colors – Sky Blue, Saffron Yellow, Ardent Red, Aspen White, Matt Black and Carbon Gray with additional bespoke design features to give the car a more individual character.
1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 by RK Motors
We got pretty excited when we saw Ford has brought back the Boss 302 name, but the car has been originally produced in 1969 and 1970. And as the classic version usually is much more appreciated than the current version, RK Motors has brought to our attention a tuning kit based on a 1970 Boss 302. The car went through a full restoration process and now can be yours for $89,900.
If you remember a few months ago RK Motors has unveiled a similar treatment for a 1967 Shelby Supercharged GT500, so we guess the tuner really likes classic cars. For the 1970 Boss 302 kept its completely original, rust-free body panels everywhere except its front fenders. The car is painted in a very cool Grabber Blue paint combined with a trademark flat black rear decklid and spoiler and of course a set of Boss side stripes. The car sits on a new set of 15″ chrome Magnum 500 wheels.
