Peugeot Äôre getting the first look at the second Geneva-bound concept, the 208 XY supermini concept.
The 208 XY Concept appears to be Peugeot’s entrant into what has become a pretty competitive sub-compact market, one that includes the Audi A1, the MINI Cooper, and the Citroen DS3, among others.
Based on the images of the concept we‚Äôre seeing, the 208 XY Concept looks like it‚Äôs received some fancy exterior and interior get-ups, highlighted by a bespoke “Pulsion” paint finish that, according to Peugeot, has the capacity to be chameleon-like and change colors depending on the how and where you look at it. On top of that, the 208 XY Concept also gets a panoramic glass roof trim, subtle wheel arch extensions, a special grille set-up with three horizontal chrome bars on the lower window edge and the quarter panel, and a new set of 18″ alloy wheels. “Name My Ride” contest, an online competition that gives Jeep fans a chance to come up with the official name of the Grand Cherokee concept. The contest is currently being held at Jeep’s official website with the top three choices being elevated to another round of voting before the official winner is announced in May 2012.
As for the vehicle itself, this one-of-a-kind Grand Cherokee is based on Jeep’s Laredo X package and is highlighted by a bevy of stealth-inspired custom touches, including a Brilliant Black exterior finish, a black mesh grille, a chrome lower bumper trim, black headlamp bezels, a black liftgate light-bar, and a new set of 20″ glossy-black aluminum wheels. The interior also comes with plenty of special features, particularly the leather-trimmed seats and heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, as well as key technological components, including a 9-speaker 506 watt amp sound system with subwoofer, iPod/MP3 connectivity, Parkview rear back-up camera, ParkSense rear-park assist system, Keyless Enter-N-Go, and last but certainly not least, the Uconnect hands-free communications system.

Turkish industrial designer, Ismet Çevik created an image of what could be the new 8-Series. His image goes against the four door configuration of the 6-Series Gran Coupe and illustrates a true two-door Grand Tourer.
“It’s actually a real rival to the Mercedes CL. Because I think the 6-Series is not a full comparison to the CL-Class. I went a bit further from a CL, and also included Rolls-Royce and Bentley influences. It is definitely a 90?s legend 8-Series. High class, business, luxury and supersport. Created to be new legend for BMW,” said Ismet Çevik about his concept.

Jeep revealed a pair of concept models in Salon Nautique de Paris that have as base the four-door Wrangler Unlimited. One of them is white and one black, but both were created with the help of French design studio, Style & Design. Jeep Wrangler Nautic Concept limited editions Salon Nautique de Paris.
The black one, called the Wrangler Nautic Noir has a powerful connection with luxury yachts, but it has exactly the same modifications as the white concept model. The white one, called the Wrangler Nautic Blanche was built to represent sailing and features a white body and matching interior colors. It also has its own pair of canvas chairs and last, but not least, a tent situated on the rear roof bar.

2011 Honda Small Sports EV Concept released on November 30, 2011?
Honda has announced they will be bringing a Small Sports EV Concept to the Tokyo Auto Show. Could this be the beginning of the next small roadster?
So far, signs point to yes. The Concept is being described as ” a next-generation compact EV sports model, fun to drive while achieving excellent environmental performance.” It is an all-electric vehicle that combines the pleasure of driving with zero CO2 emissions. Sounds like the car of the future to us and the fact that Honda will need a car to place under the current CR-Z makes the case even more convincing.
Honda hasn’t offered any other details so far, but at least, from the looks of the concept, they are working on a compact vehicle with a cool design language.
More details are scheduled to be released on November 30, 2011?

we have some fresh news on the Kia GT sports saloon concept from the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The South Korean maker had told us the GT will feature a traditional layout with the engine mounted up front and power being delivered to the rear wheels, however, we knew nothing about the motor lurking under the hood. Up until now, that is.
the New Kia GT conceptual study will be motivated by a 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 delivering a little under 400-horsepower and close to 400 lb-ft of torque, with power channeled to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Designer: David Obendorfer , Story source Renault 4 Ever Design Competition Concept : Designboom. the Revival is a homage that does not skimp on creature comforts and occupant safety. It’s like the Hyundai i30 Estate in a way; a five-door hatchback with a wagon-sized boot.
It’s a modern design with retro-styling cues, perhaps designed to be built on an existing architecture. And like most new cars today, the Revival has been designed with alternative power plants – such as hybrid and all-electric ones – in mind.
Much like the exterior, the interior is attractive in its simplicity. The instrument panel retains the look-and-feel of the original Quatrelle, though uses an LCD screen that folds away when the engine is switched off in place of analogue gauges.
There’s also an LCD satellite navigation screen, a dashboard-mounted shift lever and conventional push button / turn knob controls for the radio and HVAC.
Of all the entrants, I feel this one looks the most production-ready. It surprises with its practicality: how it’s not some way-out design for a future that will never come.

The Peugeot HX1 Hybrid4 MPV Concept is motivated by Peugeot’s diesel-electric Hybrid4 powertrain similar to the one offered on the 3008 and from next year, on the 508 RXH. One of the concepts unique features are the seven-spoke alloy wheels that resemble turbine blades when stationary, while when on the move, they open up to form a flat surface for better aerodynamic performance. For the same purpose, a spoiler and two side skirts fitted at the top of the tailgate deploy above 100 km/h (62 mph).
In the concept, the internal combustion engine is a 204HP 2.2-liter diesel hooked up to a 6-speed auto transmission that powers the front wheels, while a rear-mounted 70 kW (95HP) electric motor turns the rear wheels, making it effectively a four-wheel-drive model. At low speeds, the HX1 Hybrid4 MPV Concept can operate on the electric motor alone, emitting zero emissions. The combined maximum combined output of the electric motor and the diesel unit is 220 kW (299HP).
Peugeot said the HX1 Hybrid4 MPV Concept returns an average fuel consumption of 3.2 lt/100 km (73.4 US mpg or 88.2 UK mpg) and CO2 emissions of just 83.0 g/km. The HX1 takes Peugeot’s hybrid technology one-step further …
